Mission Statement
The main purpose of this website is to provide news and information for our family and friends and to this end there are a number of links at the top of this page which are self-explanatory. For example, we both love Indian and Anglo-Indian food and the Recipe link points to our favourite Anglo-Indian recipes. Additionally, there are pages especially reserved for Lucknow ( Doug's birthplace ) and childhood friends and acquaintances of long ago. The Gallery, Studio Fanthome and Courses links are a means of showcasing Doug's artwork whilst providing encouragement for beginners wanting to learn how to paint.
This is a semi-autobiographical piece by the artist. The yellow tracks represent pathways that one sometimes follows, meandering through life and its milestones, frequently arriving at crossroads and sometimes at deadends. The colours range from bright to sombre, reflecting periods and cultures. The names pay tribute to all the people who played an influential part in his life.
